Software Engineer
Lead the Member Innovation Data Engineering team, partnering with data scientists and product managers to design, build, and operationalize data pipelines and platforms using Python, Spark, Airflow, and AWS.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the data engineering roadmap for member‑focused product innovation, from concept through production deployment.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Python, Apache Spark, and Airflow.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and product managers to translate analytical requirements into reliable data services.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across cloud environments (AWS) and on‑premise systems.
- Mentor and grow a high‑perform engineering team, fostering best practices in code review, testing, and documentation.
- Drive architectural decisions, data modeling, and governance to support real‑time and batch analytics.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on data engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and big‑data frameworks such as Apache Spark.
- Experience building and orchestrating workflows with Airflow or similar tools.
- Deep knowledge of AWS services (e.g., S3, Redshift, EMR, Lambda) and cloud‑native data architectures.
- Proven ability to partner with cross‑functional teams, translate business needs into technical solutions, and deliver production‑grade systems.
