Software Engineer
Lead a team of test engineers to design, implement, and scale manufacturing test systems for high‑volume energy storage products, leveraging automation, data analytics, and lean methodologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute test strategies for multi‑day energy storage hardware across pilot and full‑scale production lines.
- Lead a cross‑functional team to develop automated test fixtures, data acquisition systems, and software tools.
- Analyze test data to identify failure modes, drive root‑cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to integrate test requirements early in product development.
- Establish and maintain lean test processes, metrics, and continuous‑improvement programs (e.g., Six Sigma).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing test engineering, including leadership of test teams.
- Proficiency in test automation hardware (PLC, NI LabVIEW, Python/Node.js scripting) and data analysis tools.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality systems (ISO, ASTM).
- Excellent communication and project‑management skills to drive cross‑departmental initiatives.
