Systems Engineer
Lead IP/MPLS network operations and optimization, overseeing DWDM, enterprise LAN/WAN, capacity planning, and budget management to ensure high‑performance, reliable service delivery.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Direct day‑to‑day operations of IP and MPLS networks, ensuring service availability and performance targets are met.
- Plan, design, and optimize DWDM and Ethernet transport solutions for enterprise LAN and WAN environments.
- Develop and manage capacity planning processes, forecasting demand and scaling network resources accordingly.
- Control budgeting and cost‑control activities for network infrastructure, including CAPEX and OPEX tracking.
- Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align network architecture with business objectives and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing IP/MPLS networks in large enterprise or service‑provider settings.
- Strong knowledge of DWDM, Ethernet, LAN, and WAN technologies and their integration.
- Proven expertise in capacity planning, performance monitoring, and network optimization.
- Experience with budgeting, cost analysis, and financial stewardship of network projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
