Software Engineer
Lead and coordinate IT initiatives for NY State Parks, acting as the primary liaison between the ITS Dedicated Team and park stakeholders, ensuring technology solutions align with strategic goals and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the strategic liaison between the ITS Dedicated Team and NY State Parks stakeholders across all regions and administrative functions.
- Collaborate with the Director for Technology to develop and implement IT strategies that support the mission and operational goals of the parks.
- Oversee the delivery of IT services, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance with state regulations.
- Manage project lifecycles from concept through deployment, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Facilitate cross‑functional communication to align technology initiatives with business priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive IT management experience, preferably in a public sector or large organization.
- Strong knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Proficiency in evaluating and implementing technology solutions that meet business needs.
