About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a cross‑functional data science team to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models that power legal analytics products.
- Own the full model lifecycle: data ingestion, feature engineering, algorithm selection, training, validation, and production deployment on AWS.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and legal experts to translate business problems into data‑driven solutions.
- Establish best practices for model governance, reproducibility, and performance monitoring.
- Mentor junior scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data science or machine learning, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and AWS services (SageMaker, Lambda, EC2).
- Deep expertise in statistical modeling, deep learning, and large‑scale data pipelines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex analytics into actionable business insights.
- Experience in the legal or professional services domain is a plus.
