Lead a high‑performing data science team, driving advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and data‑driven decision making across insurance products using Python, SQL, AWS, and Tableau.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end‑to‑end data science projects, from problem definition to production deployment.
- Mentor and grow a multidisciplinary team of data scientists and analysts.
- Collaborate with product, underwriting, and risk teams to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines on AWS, ensuring data quality and governance.
- Champion best practices in model development, validation, and monitoring.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data science or analytics, with 3+ years in a managerial role.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and AWS services (S3, Redshift, SageMaker).
- Strong background in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data visualization (Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is highly desirable.
