Software Engineer
Lead a Controls Engineering team to design, program, commission, and troubleshoot advanced HVAC control systems, driving continuous improvement and technical excellence across projects.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Controls Engineers and Technicians, setting clear performance goals and fostering a collaborative culture.
- Design and develop HVAC control strategies, PLC programs, and electrical control architectures that meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.
- Oversee commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of control systems, ensuring seamless integration with building automation and HVAC equipment.
- Establish and enforce technical standards, best practices, and documentation for controls engineering projects.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to deliver controls solutions on time and within scope.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in controls engineering, with a strong background in HVAC systems and PLC programming.
- Proven leadership skills, having managed multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Deep knowledge of electrical controls architecture, building automation protocols, and commissioning processes.
- Strong project management abilities, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
