About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for AI products that accelerate research in biology and life sciences.
- Lead a team of researchers and engineers, fostering collaboration across AI, bioinformatics, and cloud infrastructure.
- Design, prototype, and scale machine‑learning models that are interpretable, robust, and aligned with safety standards.
- Integrate AI solutions with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and container orchestration to enable reliable deployments.
- Partner with scientific stakeholders to translate domain challenges into AI‑driven product features.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and deploying machine‑learning systems, preferably in a life‑science or healthcare context.
- Strong proficiency in Python and deep‑learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
- Demonstrated expertise in AI research, model interpretability, and safety‑focused development.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing high‑performing technical teams.
