About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain DB2 for z/OS subsystems across production environments.
- Perform version upgrades, apply PTFs/APARs, and conduct routine system maintenance to keep the database platform current and secure.
- Manage subsystem configuration and initialization parameters, optimizing performance and resource utilization.
- Maintain core DB2 components, including ZPARMs, ensuring proper operation and compliance with best practices.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and support business continuity.
Requirements
- Proven experience with DB2 for z/OS installation, configuration, and administration.
- Hands‑on knowledge of ZPARMs and related performance monitoring tools.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on reliability and uptime.
