Lead a 2nd‑shift machining support team, driving efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control on aluminum components using CNC and fabrication techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor 2nd‑shift machining technicians, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Diagnose and resolve complex machining and CNC equipment issues, minimizing downtime and maintaining throughput.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for CNC machines, lathes, mills, and related tooling.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to refine processes, improve tolerances, and reduce scrap.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, part specifications, and performance metrics.
Requirements
- 5+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment, with strong CNC programming skills.
- Proven leadership ability and experience managing shift‑based teams.
- Solid understanding of aluminum fabrication, tooling, and quality inspection techniques.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency with maintenance management software.
