ML Engineer
Support advanced research in monetary policy using machine learning techniques, developing predictive models and data pipelines to analyze economic indicators and financial datasets.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and validate machine learning models to forecast economic trends and assess policy impacts.
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large-scale financial and macroeconomic datasets using SQL and Python.
- Collaborate with economists and data scientists to translate research questions into analytical frameworks.
- Document methodologies, results, and code in reproducible formats for internal and external dissemination.
- Assist in preparing technical reports, presentations, and publications for stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, and statsmodels.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Solid understanding of statistical modeling, time‑series analysis, and econometrics.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a research environment.
