ML Engineer
Conduct open‑ended machine learning research tasks on a part‑time remote contract, delivering prototypes within defined time and compute budgets using Python and deep‑learning frameworks.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement experimental machine‑learning pipelines to address open‑ended research questions.
- Develop and fine‑tune models using frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow within allocated compute budgets.
- Analyze results, iterate quickly, and document findings for reproducibility.
- Collaborate remotely with research leads to define problem scopes and success metrics.
- Deliver functional prototypes and concise reports within the agreed weekly commitment.
Requirements
- Strong background in machine‑learning research and hands‑on experience building deep‑learning models.
- Proficiency in Python and at least one major DL library (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet fixed compute and deadline constraints.
- Experience with data preprocessing, model evaluation, and result interpretation.
- Excellent written communication for clear documentation of experiments and outcomes.
