As a Machine Learning Engineer, World Model at Waymo, you will be instrumental in developing the foundational world model that accurately simulates the physical world for our autonomous driving technology.
Responsibilities
- Develop the foundational world model to accurately simulate the physical world.
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to tackle key challenges in training the world model on large-scale clusters.
- Develop metrics and evaluation benchmarks to better assess model performance.
- Design and implement a scalable and efficient data annotation pipeline to ensure high-quality labeled data for training and evaluation.
- Optimize inference efficiency to enable real-time interaction.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning, with a focus on deep learning.
- Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
- Experience with large-scale data and distributed systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
