Machine Learning Engineer

About the Role

MedGenome is looking to hire a Machine Learning Engineer who is primarily responsible for building end to end ML algorithms to design and optimize variant prioritization, classification for disease diagnostics and partner with scientific expert on drug discovery research.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize variant prioritization and classification for diagnostics.
• Develop computational and statistical models for data analysis.
• Design, prototype, and validate computational solutions to diverse scientific challenges in the fields of clinical diagnostics and genomics research.
• Act as a scientific expert and partner in the fields of genomics/clinical/drug discovery and AI/ML.
• Collaborate closely with bioinformaticians, molecular biologists, and software engineers to translate bioinformatics needs into working ML models.
• Design and assess studies to evaluate the performance of various tools and algorithms for variant classification and prioritization.
• Develop, deploy, and assess the results of at-scale models at varying levels of model granularity encompassing heterogeneous clinical data.
• Employ machine learning methods such as deep learning, neural networks, reinforcement learning, graphical and generative models to deconvolve high dimensional experimental and in silico modelling results.
• Act as a coach and mentor to junior members within the team in all spheres of the data engineering life cycle.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience working in ML algorithms, Statistical Models, Data Analysis and Python.
• Expertise in end to end ML data science projects for design and optimization of variant prioritization and classification for diagnostics.
• Expert in developing computational and statistical models for data analysis.
