Machine Learning Engineer - GenAI team

About the Role

Join our brand new GenAI team at Neo4j, where we're pioneering groundbreaking work in the field of AI and machine learning. Our team is at the forefront of innovative AI solutions, and we're looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to help drive this exciting journey. You will be instrumental in building and enhancing machine learning models with a focus on Neo4j and knowledge graph-specific features. You will play a key role in advancing our AI capabilities within end-user applications through the deployment and refinement of open-source models as well as providing features for our customers to ground LLMs with their proprietary data.

You Will

• Build and improve the accuracy of ML models, including retraining and optimizing open-source models to solve Neo4j and knowledge graph-specific features
• Deploy and refine open-source models that support AI features in end-user applications
• Stay connected to industry and academic research and adopt new technology that will improve or replace existing solutions and products
• Collaborate with PMs and customers to translate customer needs into ML solutions

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, Applied Scientist, or similar role
• Strong proficiency in one or more common languages (e.g., Java, Python)
• Proficiency with common ML tools (e.g., Spark, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Experience in deploying and iteratively refining models based on customer feedback.
• Demonstrated expertise in optimizing distributed model training with GPUs.
• A deep passion for the field of Generative AI, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs).
• A Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant field is preferred (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning).
