Machine Learning Engineer
Electric Sheep is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Computer Vision Machine Learning Engineer with a Master's degree to join their team. This role involves automating rotoscoping in the film and TV industry using AI, working on developing scalable Python microservices with Docker and AWS.
Electric Sheep is accelerating Visual Effects (VFX) in the film and TV industry with AI. The Visual Effects industry is responsible for everything you see on screen that wasn’t captured through the lens of a camera, such as King Kong, spaceships or meteors crashing into Earth.
We are automating the process of rotoscoping - Rotoscoping is the industry term for background removal and is a crucial first step for nearly all visual effects. At the moment VFX studios are manually rotoscoping by drawing around foreground objects frame by frame. This process is incredibly time consuming - three seconds of footage takes around five days to rotoscope. We’re automating this process, rotoing the same three seconds of footage in five minutes.
Electric Sheep is building tooling to match the high production standards of Hollywood, automating the tedious technical tasks and letting filmmakers get back to telling stories.
