Machine Learning Engineer - Community Support Engineering - Airbnb

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy production‑grade machine learning models that improve community trust, safety, and user experience across the platform.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business problems into data‑driven solutions, ensuring models meet performance, fairness, and scalability requirements.
• Build and maintain robust data pipelines using SQL, Python, and cloud services (AWS) to ingest, clean, and transform large volumes of community interaction data.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and automated testing to guarantee model reliability and rapid issue resolution.
• Communicate findings and model insights to stakeholders through clear visualizations and technical documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in machine learning engineering or data science roles.
• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow or PyTorch, and SQL for data manipulation.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (SageMaker, EC2, S3) for model training and deployment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
