LRT Engineering Interface Manager - City of Edmonton
Software Engineer
Lead multidisciplinary LRT engineering interfaces, coordinating civil, structural, facilities, rail system and vehicle teams to ensure seamless planning, execution and delivery of the Capital Line extension.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all interface matters across civil, structures, facilities, rail systems and Light Rail Vehicle disciplines.
- Develop and maintain integrated interface plans, schedules and risk registers to align technical scopes with project milestones.
- Facilitate regular coordination meetings, workshops and information exchanges among internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with design standards, BIM protocols and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and resolve interface conflicts, escalating issues promptly to maintain schedule and budget integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering discipline; professional engineering licensure preferred.
- 5+ years of experience managing complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, preferably in rail or transit.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams, negotiate solutions and communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
- Strong knowledge of BIM/CAD tools, interface management processes and relevant transit standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and documentation skills with a focus on safety and quality.
