Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining security controls on Linux/Unix systems, handling change requests, performing server takeovers, and ensuring compliance with bank security standards.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy security hardening solutions for Linux and Unix servers across the organization.
- Manage change requests, perform server takeover procedures, and verify compliance with established security standards.
- Investigate and remediate security hardening failures, including password policy violations and configuration gaps.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to integrate security controls into the bank's product suite.
- Monitor vulnerability findings, prioritize remediation, and support incident response activities for Linux/Unix environments.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience securing Linux/Unix platforms in a financial or regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of security hardening frameworks (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, DISA STIG) and compliance verification processes.
- Proficiency in Bash scripting and automation tools to remediate configuration issues.
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and incident response workflows.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
