About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot enterprise‑grade Linux servers, ensuring 99.9% uptime and rapid incident resolution.
- Implement and enforce security policies, hardening systems, managing SELinux/AppArmor, and conducting regular vulnerability assessments.
- Automate routine tasks using Bash, Python, and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet).
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and deploy scalable, high‑performance infrastructure solutions.
- Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and optimize resource utilization across virtualized and cloud environments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience administering Linux (RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu) in a production environment.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash and familiarity with Python for automation.
- Deep understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.
- Experience with virtualization (VMware, KVM) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a high‑security setting.
