Linux System Engineer DevOps - Computacenter AG & Co. oHG

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable Linux-based infrastructure for production environments.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate them using Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and efficient resource utilization.
• Provision and manage cloud resources on AWS, including EC2, EKS, RDS, and S3, while optimizing cost and performance.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to ensure system reliability and rapid incident response.
• Collaborate with development teams to enforce best practices in configuration management, security hardening, and compliance.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Linux system administration and shell scripting.
• Proven track record in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipeline creation, and automation.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
