Systems Engineer
Hands‑on Linux System Administrator for a 6‑month surge support role, managing lab and development environments, troubleshooting networking, scripting, and cloud infrastructure for a federal Boeing program.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot Linux servers and workstations in a high‑availability lab environment.
- Configure and manage network components, including routing, switching, and firewall rules.
- Develop and maintain Bash and Python scripts for automation and monitoring.
- Support AWS cloud resources, including EC2, S3, and VPC configurations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve infrastructure issues and implement best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience administering Linux (RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu) in enterprise settings.
- Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing protocols).
- Proficiency in Bash scripting and Python for automation.
- Experience with AWS services and infrastructure as code tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
