Devops Engineer
Design, deploy, and maintain scalable Linux infrastructure for high‑performance research computing, leveraging automation tools, cloud services, and virtualization technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and support Linux‑based compute and storage platforms for scientific workloads.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and playbooks using Ansible, Python, and Bash to streamline provisioning, configuration, and patch management.
- Manage virtualized environments (VMware) and integrate cloud resources (AWS) to meet dynamic research demands.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure high availability and security compliance.
- Collaborate with research teams to optimize infrastructure for data‑intensive applications and support CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience administering Linux servers in an enterprise or research setting.
- Proficiency with automation/configuration tools such as Ansible and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Experience with virtualization (VMware) and cloud platforms (AWS), including networking and storage integration.
- Strong understanding of Linux networking, security hardening, and performance tuning.
- Ability to work independently and communicate technical concepts effectively to multidisciplinary teams.
