Legal Consultant – Data Privacy role focused on advising Fortune 500 clients on GDPR, HIPAA, and other privacy regulations, conducting privacy impact assessments, and ensuring compliance across global operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal counsel on GDPR, HIPAA, and other data protection regulations to Fortune 500 clients.
- Conduct privacy impact assessments and develop mitigation strategies for complex data processing activities.
- Draft, review, and negotiate privacy policies, data processing agreements, and cross‑border data transfer documents.
- Lead compliance workshops and training sessions for client stakeholders on privacy best practices.
- Monitor regulatory developments and advise on proactive compliance measures.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 2 years post‑qualification experience in data privacy law.
- Deep knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA, and related privacy frameworks.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to translate complex regulations into actionable guidance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting to senior executives.
- Experience working with multinational clients and cross‑functional teams is a plus.
