Lead the design and integration of advanced thermal management systems for electric vehicles, leveraging CFD, HVAC expertise, and software tools such as MATLAB and Python to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the development of vehicle‑level thermal management strategies for battery, powertrain, and cabin systems.
- Perform CFD simulations, thermal modeling, and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing to validate concepts and drive design decisions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (electrical, mechanical, software) to integrate thermal solutions into overall vehicle architecture.
- Develop and maintain MATLAB/Simulink and Python scripts for thermal analysis, control algorithm development, and data visualization.
- Guide junior engineers, establish best practices, and ensure compliance with safety and reliability standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Sciences, or related field with 8+ years of experience in automotive thermal system design.
- Proven expertise in CFD tools (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, Star‑CCM+) and HVAC system design for electric vehicles.
- Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and control development.
- Experience integrating thermal solutions with power electronics and battery management systems.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
