QA Engineer
Lead Test Engineer responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing complex test programs for naval ship systems, ensuring compliance with security requirements and delivering high‑quality, validated hardware and software solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for shipboard systems and subsystems.
- Lead a multidisciplinary test team, providing technical direction, mentorship, and performance oversight.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and tools using C++ and industry‑standard test software.
- Coordinate test execution, data collection, and analysis to verify system performance against specifications and security standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and security offices to resolve defects, ensure compliance, and support certification processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of test engineering experience.
- Proven expertise in test automation, systems integration, and hardware/software validation for complex, safety‑critical platforms.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and familiarity with test scripting languages.
- Active or ability to obtain a final security clearance.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
