About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize shaders and materials across multiple platforms, ensuring visual fidelity and performance.
- Collaborate closely with art directors, designers, and engineers to translate creative concepts into technical solutions.
- Lead a small team of technical artists, providing mentorship, code reviews, and workflow improvements.
- Develop reusable shader libraries, tools, and documentation to streamline production pipelines.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in real‑time rendering.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a technical artist with a focus on shaders and materials.
- Proficiency in HLSL/GLSL and shader authoring in Unity and Unreal Engine.
- Strong understanding of rendering pipelines, lighting models, and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Portfolio showcasing advanced shader work and technical problem‑solving.
