Systems Engineer
Lead the design, development, and integration of complex aerospace systems using Model‑Based Systems Engineering, SysML, and DOORS to ensure requirements traceability and mission success.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Drive end‑to‑end system architecture and design for advanced aerospace projects, ensuring alignment with mission objectives.
- Lead Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities, creating and maintaining SysML models that capture functional, logical, and physical designs.
- Manage requirements throughout the lifecycle using IBM DOORS, guaranteeing traceability, verification, and validation across all development phases.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams—including hardware, software, and test engineers—to integrate subsystems and resolve technical issues.
- Develop and oversee test plans, simulations, and analyses to validate system performance and reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of systems engineering experience.
- Proficiency in MBSE tools (e.g., SysML, MagicDraw) and requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex, high‑risk projects.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with a track record of delivering technically sound solutions.
- Eligibility for Secret security clearance and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
