Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of secure, scalable systems on Linux and AWS, driving innovation in advanced analytics for national security missions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement robust Linux‑based infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance for analytics workloads.
- Design and manage virtualized environments (VMware, KVM) and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) to support scalable data pipelines.
- Integrate and secure AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC) while optimizing cost and compliance with security standards.
- Develop automation scripts in Python to streamline provisioning, monitoring, and incident response.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate analytical requirements into reliable system solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in system engineering, with deep expertise in Linux administration and networking.
- Proven track record managing virtualized and cloud environments, preferably AWS.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
