Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of core components for 3D reconstruction, image processing, scene understanding, and visualization solutions.
• Drive technical decision-making and contribute to product and architectural direction for next-generation photogrammetry workflows.
• Mentor team members by promoting best practices in clean code, maintainable architecture, testing, and performance engineering.
• Develop performant and reliable algorithms to process Images, Point Clouds, Textured Meshes, and Gaussian Splats at scale.
• Advance the state of the art in computer vision, photogrammetry, machine learning, and computer graphics through research, prototyping, and integration into the product.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other engineering teams to deliver high-impact features aligned with user needs.
• Ensure high software quality through code reviews, automated testing, profiling, and continuous improvement processes.
• Shape the product vision by deeply understanding the workflows and challenges of our growing community of reality capture users.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in image processing, computer vision, computer graphics, photogrammetry, or related fields.
• Expert-level C++ skills (modern C++ standards, performance optimization).
• Proven experience designing and delivering complex software components in production environments.
• Demonstrated ability to research, design, implement, test, debug, and work efficiently in large, shared codebases.
• Eagerness to continuously grow in team communication and self-leadership - with a desire to mentor.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geomatics Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluent English speaker (German is a plus).
• Existing work authorization for Germany.

Recommended Qualifications

• Background in scalable algorithm design and performance critical systems.
• Experience with GPU computing, large scale image/point cloud pipelines.
• Knowledge of Esri software.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Geomatics Engineering, or a related field.
