Lead reliability engineer responsible for medium‑ and low‑voltage electrical topology, UPS architecture, switchgear, and power quality, bridging site operations and platform delivery while driving systemic improvements through advanced electrical forensics.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical authority for medium‑ and low‑voltage electrical topology, switchgear, and UPS systems across the data‑center fleet.
- Perform advanced electrical forensics to identify root‑cause failures and systemic vulnerabilities in power distribution.
- Collaborate with Site Operations and Platform Delivery teams to define reliability standards and implement corrective action plans.
- Design and validate power‑quality monitoring strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal SLAs.
- Lead incident response for electrical outages, coordinating troubleshooting, documentation, and post‑mortem analysis.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives for electrical reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience in data‑center or industrial power systems.
- Deep expertise in medium‑ and low‑voltage distribution, switchgear, UPS architecture, and power‑quality analysis.
- Proven track record of applying electrical forensics and reliability engineering methodologies to reduce downtime.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to translate complex technical findings into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to influence cross‑functional teams.
