About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deploy Python‑based services that integrate a modern off‑site rating platform with an on‑prem IBM Power (Power11) environment.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand legacy insurance platform (IPlus) requirements and map integration points.
- Implement secure, scalable REST APIs and data pipelines to enable real‑time data exchange between systems.
- Document architecture, code, and integration workflows, ensuring maintainability and knowledge transfer.
- Deliver a working proof‑of‑concept by September 2026, demonstrating seamless operation of Python services alongside legacy components.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in Python development, including modern frameworks and best practices.
- Hands‑on knowledge of IBM Power systems and integration with on‑prem platforms.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, data serialization, and secure communication.
- Experience with legacy system modernization and integration projects.
