About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor risk‑based programs to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks arising from internal processes, people, systems, or external events.
- Maintain a balance between risk mitigation and operational efficiency, ensuring business continuity and compliance.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, systems, and internal controls through data‑driven analysis.
- Analyze complex business and system changes to determine impact, identify operational risk issues, and contribute to risk rating development.
- Leverage Python, SQL, and Generative AI tools to automate risk assessments, generate insights, and support decision‑making.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in operational risk management within a large financial institution.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Generative AI technologies for data analysis and automation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable risk strategies.
