Software Engineer
Lead instructional designer responsible for analyzing training needs, creating engaging eLearning solutions, and aligning learning programs with mission objectives for national security and cybersecurity initiatives.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive needs analyses and performance assessments to define learning objectives aligned with mission goals.
- Design and develop interactive eLearning modules, instructor‑led materials, and blended learning solutions using tools such as Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate.
- Integrate content into Learning Management Systems, ensuring tracking, reporting, and compliance with security requirements.
- Collaborate with subject‑matter experts, project managers, and technical teams to translate complex security and cyber concepts into clear, engaging learning experiences.
- Lead quality assurance processes, including usability testing, revisions, and continuous improvement based on learner feedback and performance data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing high‑impact training for defense, intelligence, or cybersecurity environments.
- Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and LMS platforms.
- Strong understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM), and multimedia development.
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain) and ability to work within classified environments.
