Lead IT Specialist responsible for overseeing operational programs and special projects that ensure reliable, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure across the agency, leveraging cloud services, networking, and automation.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Direct day‑to‑day operations of the agency’s core IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Lead and coordinate special projects, including cloud migrations, network redesigns, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Develop and enforce IT service management processes (ITIL) to improve incident, problem, and change management.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define technical requirements, architecture standards, and implementation roadmaps.
- Mentor junior staff, conduct technical reviews, and provide guidance on best practices for automation and scripting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing enterprise‑scale IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking.
- Proven project leadership on complex initiatives, preferably with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, network architecture, and ITIL service management.
- Hands‑on experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
