Devops Engineer
Lead the design, delivery and support of a stable, secure ICT infrastructure, overseeing network, servers, telephony and end‑user environments while driving continuous improvement and handling senior escalations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end‑to‑end ICT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security and performance of network, server, telephony and desktop environments.
- Lead complex projects and upgrades, from planning through implementation, to introduce new technologies and improve service delivery.
- Act as the senior escalation point for critical incidents, providing expert troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
- Design, configure and maintain Cisco networking equipment, Windows Server platforms and virtualisation solutions (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell) and documentation to streamline operations and support processes.
- Collaborate with business units to assess requirements, propose solutions and ensure alignment with IT governance and security policies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience managing enterprise network and server infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco routing/switching, Windows Server (2016/2019), Active Directory and virtualisation technologies.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, resolve high‑severity incidents and mentor junior staff.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, MCSE, VCP) preferred.
