Lead engineer responsible for end‑to‑end I&C parts lifecycle, driving qualification, obsolescence mitigation, and procurement coordination using advanced technical validation and supplier management skills.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full I&C parts lifecycle from qualification through obsolescence planning, ensuring compliance with OEM standards.
- Engage customers and internal stakeholders to define precise component and assembly requirements, translating business needs into technical specifications.
- Coordinate quotes, orders, and supplier performance, aligning procurement, sales, and engineering teams to meet delivery and quality targets.
- Conduct technical validation and testing of I&C components, documenting results and recommending improvements.
- Develop and maintain obsolescence risk assessments, proposing mitigation strategies and alternative solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in I&C systems engineering, parts qualification, or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of parts lifecycle management, obsolescence processes, and technical validation methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to translate technical details into actionable plans.
- Proficiency in procurement tools, supplier evaluation, and data analysis.
- Ability to work independently in a mobile model, traveling 2–3 days per week to support on‑site operations.
