Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of core gameplay mechanics, player controls, and systems architecture for a AAA XBOX title.
- Mentor and manage a team of gameplay engineers, setting coding standards, code reviews, and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with design, animation, and other engineering leads to ensure seamless integration of gameplay features.
- Drive performance tuning and scalability, ensuring smooth frame rates and low latency on target hardware.
- Own technical debt reduction, refactoring, and continuous improvement of the gameplay codebase.
Requirements
- 5+ years of gameplay programming experience, with a strong portfolio of AAA or high‑profile projects.
- Expertise in Unreal Engine 5, C++, and XBOX development pipelines.
- Proven leadership skills, able to guide and inspire a small team of engineers.
- Deep understanding of gameplay systems design, physics, animation integration, and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset across multidisciplinary teams.
