Lead a high‑impact team building Java‑based microservices that power group‑benefits APIs, integrating quote, policy, eligibility and claims systems across web, call‑center and chatbot channels.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java microservices supporting quote, policy, eligibility, and claims APIs.
- Collaborate with product owners and UX teams to translate business requirements into robust, secure API solutions.
- Implement containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) to ensure high availability and rapid deployment.
- Drive CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code quality standards across the team.
- Mentor junior engineers, enforce Agile best practices, and lead technical design reviews.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional Java development experience, with deep knowledge of Spring Boot and RESTful API design.
- Proven experience building and operating microservice architectures in containerized environments.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and automated testing frameworks.
- Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and scaling.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to work cross‑functionally, and a passion for delivering customer‑centric solutions.
