Lead engineer responsible for designing and executing large‑scale database migrations, overseeing ETL pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and guiding a team of developers through end‑to‑end data delivery.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and drive end‑to‑end database migration strategies for consolidating mortgage servicing applications.
- Design, build, and optimize ETL pipelines to ensure reliable data extraction, transformation, and loading at scale.
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to Data/ETL developers, reviewing code and design artifacts for quality and compliance.
- Implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality controls to guarantee migration accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define migration scope, timelines, and risk mitigation plans.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or database migration projects, with deep knowledge of ETL frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices.
- Experience implementing data quality and validation frameworks in large‑scale migration contexts.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills, with a focus on delivering high‑quality data solutions.
