Software Engineer
Lead the Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EIC) strategy for a global carbon capture plant, driving design standards, safety compliance, and contractor coordination while ensuring alignment with operational and regulatory requirements.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the technical direction for the EIC Department, establishing fit‑for‑purpose specifications and design philosophies for global deployments.
- Translate owner requirements into detailed design documents, ensuring operability, safety, and compliance with local and regional codes.
- Lead contractor management activities, reviewing design deliverables, coordinating approvals, and ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (mechanical, process, safety) to validate design assumptions and resolve technical issues.
- Drive continuous improvement of EIC processes, tools, and best practices to enhance quality and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in PLC programming, SCADA/HMI integration, and safety‑critical control systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven project management skills with a track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and managing external contractors.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
