Monzo is building a fair, transparent, and delightful bank, growing rapidly with over 11 million customers in the UK. Over 80% of its growth comes from word-of-mouth and referrals.

The company fosters a strong culture of data-driven decision making, with powerful, real-time analytics and empowerment across the business. All data is centralized and easy to use, with 90% of day-to-day data-driven decisions covered by self-serve analytics through Looker, allowing data scientists to focus on high-impact business questions and analyses.

Monzo is expanding and hiring for multiple roles across its Data Science teams, including areas like Borrowing, Growth, Payments, Fincrime, Wealth, or Core. They seek talented individuals with versatile skill sets. Teams are allocated after the interview process, aiming to match skills and aspirations with the most suitable role. Candidates will meet team members from across the Data Science collectives during the process.

What you’ll be working on:

• Lead the data strategy and continuously evolve Monzo to make money management magically simple for customers.
• Develop and execute best practices for experimentation, enabling data-informed decisions.
• Collaboratively set standards and work with data across Monzo, fostering knowledge sharing and continuously improving data practices.
• Work closely with leaders in product, engineering, design, and research to build and iterate on product ideas.
