About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary team in developing and deploying machine learning models for geospatial intelligence and remote sensing applications.
- Design end‑to‑end data pipelines, from satellite imagery ingestion to feature extraction and model inference.
- Collaborate with domain experts to translate mission requirements into analytical solutions and validate results against real‑world scenarios.
- Mentor junior scientists and engineers, fostering best practices in coding, documentation, and reproducibility.
- Present findings to senior stakeholders, translating technical insights into strategic recommendations.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master’s in Computer Science, Geosciences, or related field with 8+ years of data science experience.
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and geospatial libraries (GDAL, Rasterio, GeoPandas).
- Extensive experience with remote sensing data (SAR, hyperspectral, LiDAR) and deep learning for image analysis.
- Strong statistical modeling skills and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of publishing technical reports or papers.
