Lead Data Scientist responsible for designing, building, and evaluating analytical solutions, extracting insights from large health datasets, and delivering visual reports to support primary care initiatives.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and translate business requirements into data science project plans.
- Extract, clean, and transform large clinical and operational datasets using Python and SQL.
- Develop, train, and validate machine‑learning models to predict patient outcomes and optimize care pathways.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Tableau) to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Lead the end‑to‑end implementation of analytical solutions, including deployment and performance monitoring.
- Mentor junior data scientists and promote best practices in statistical analysis and reproducibility.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Python, SQL, and machine‑learning libraries (scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Proven ability to conduct statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
- Strong data‑visualization skills with Tableau or similar tools.
- Excellent communication skills and experience presenting complex results to non‑technical audiences.
