About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy predictive pricing and risk models using Python and Machine Learning techniques.
- Lead a team of data scientists, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with product, underwriting, and engineering teams to translate business needs into data solutions.
- Maintain and optimise data pipelines and analytical workflows on AWS cloud services.
- Present insights and model performance to senior stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in data science, with a proven track record of delivering production‑grade models.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and common ML libraries (e.g., scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Deep understanding of statistical modelling, experiment design, and validation techniques.
- Experience with AWS services such as S3, EC2, SageMaker, or similar cloud platforms.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management and cross‑functional collaboration.
