Lead the design and implementation of enterprise data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, compliance, and effective metadata management across multiple cloud platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.
- Lead metadata cataloging initiatives, integrating tools such as AWS Glue Data Catalog and Collibra to provide a single source of truth.
- Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and security teams to enforce data quality rules, lineage, and access controls.
- Develop and automate data quality checks using SQL and Python, and monitor compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and support to business stakeholders on data stewardship and governance best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or metadata management roles.
- Proficiency with SQL, Python, and cloud data services (AWS).
- Strong understanding of data lineage, data cataloging, and data stewardship concepts.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
- Experience with governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, or Informatica is a plus.
