Data Analyst
Lead the Data Analytics Unit for a state law‑enforcement agency, overseeing agency‑wide reporting, LPR analytics, and data quality monitoring while guiding a small team in advanced analytics and visualization using Python, SQL, Tableau, and GIS.

Key Responsibilities
- Direct the Data Analytics Unit, setting priorities, managing workflow, and mentoring a team of analysts.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated reporting solutions for state police, courts, and partner law‑enforcement agencies.
- Perform advanced analytics on License Plate Reader (LPR) data, crime trends, and operational metrics to support strategic decisions.
- Ensure compliance with federal and legislative reporting requirements, delivering accurate and timely submissions.
- Implement data quality monitoring programs and drive continuous improvement of data integrity across all sources.
- Collaborate with IT and innovation teams to integrate emerging technologies and improve data pipelines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence, preferably in public safety or government.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and statistical modeling.
- Strong SQL skills and experience building data warehouses or data marts.
- Expertise with visualization tools such as Tableau (or Power BI) and GIS platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a small analytics team and manage multiple stakeholder projects.
