Systems Engineer
Lead the design, integration, and analysis of launch vehicle subsystems, driving performance, reliability, and cost targets using advanced propulsion, avionics, and guidance technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the systems engineering lifecycle for launch vehicle components, ensuring integration of propulsion, avionics, and guidance subsystems.
- Develop and validate performance models, trade studies, and risk assessments to support design decisions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements, interfaces, and test plans for launch vehicle missions.
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and documentation to meet program schedules and budgets.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in launch vehicle or space systems engineering.
- Proficiency in propulsion system analysis, avionics architecture, and guidance & control algorithms.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with FFRDC or defense‑related program environments is a plus.
