Systems Engineer
Lead the design, integration, and validation of large‑scale weapon systems for national security missions, leveraging advanced simulation, modeling, and programming skills to meet stringent performance and reliability standards.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end systems engineering for large‑scale weapon platforms, ensuring design integrity from concept through production.
- Develop and maintain detailed requirements, architecture, and interface specifications in alignment with defense acquisition standards.
- Conduct advanced simulation and modeling using MATLAB/Simulink to validate performance, safety, and interoperability.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (electronics, software, propulsion) to integrate subsystems and resolve technical issues.
- Prepare technical reports, design reviews, and risk assessments for senior stakeholders and government customers.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in weapon systems or large‑scale defense platforms.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python for embedded and simulation development.
- Strong knowledge of defense acquisition processes and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, mission‑driven environment.
