Laptop Service Engineer responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining laptops, ensuring optimal performance through hands‑on hardware troubleshooting and excellent customer communication.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair laptop hardware issues, including motherboard, SSD, RAM, and peripheral components.
- Perform firmware, BIOS, and operating system updates to maintain device functionality.
- Manage service scheduling, coordinate with customers, and provide clear status updates.
- Document repair procedures, parts used, and time spent for accurate billing and inventory control.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, explaining technical issues in layman’s terms and ensuring satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in laptop repair and hardware diagnostics.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, BIOS, and firmware updates.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and a customer‑centric attitude.
- Ability to work independently in a field‑service environment.
